Student Scholarships
The Doctor of Audiology (Au.D./Ph.D.) scholarships sponsored by the Massachusetts Academy of Audiology are awarded to two students currently enrolled in a Massachusetts Doctor of Audiology Au.D. program. The recipients must be full-time students currently at UMASS Amherst or Northeastern University Au.D./Ph.D. programs. The award is given in the amount of $500 to two students. Scholarship awards also include a one-year student membership to the MAA.
Requirements
The applicant must complete the application, proof of enrollment and essay, and upload it to the MAA website on or before August 1, 2013. The scholarship awards will be presented at our annual convention on September 20, 2013.
Proof of enrollment
The applicant must provide proof of enrollment in an official Au.D./Ph.D. program. Please include with your application a letter from the program director that documents your enrollment in the program.
Essay
Provide a 500 word response to one of the following questions:
- What influenced your decision to pursue a degree in the field of Audiology?
- After graduation, which population(s) would you like to work with in the field of Audiology, and why?
- Please describe how you propose to impact and contribute to the field of Audiology in the future.
